About Ken-Ten Rules Schedule

The Ken-Ten Series was started out of necessity due to high fuel prices and local car counts that where low. Craig Thompson of Renegade Race Cars has been trying for several years to get all the local tracks on the same weights and tires. Craig spent the fall season getting the drivers info and input, he got over 60 drivers info and in November 2008 he sat down with the promoters of Beech Bend, Highland Rim, Corbin and KMS, after 3 hours the guys had it all ironed out. The engine/weight rules where adopted from Beech Bends rules, they had it set up where just about anyone could race. They all agreed to the Hoosier 1080 or 1070 tire because of its cost and durability. The schedule was set around Beech Bends track because of his multiuse facility. The schedule was released in January 2009 for its 1st season with 2 races for Beech Bend, Highland Rim, Corbin and 1 race at KMS.

If a series sponsor is found we’ll have the same tech guys at all the races and hopefully a race director. Craig is currently seeking sponsors to help out on the purses and hopefully a points fund for the series.

There will be a Ken-Ten Pro Late Model Series Champion crowned at the end of the season, we cannot promise a big purse for the champion or the top 20 in points but we are working hard to acquire monies and racing related gift certificates for the banquet!

The timing is right for a local series, we have over 25 ASA legal cars within a 3 hour drive from Bowling Green, fuel prices are down compared to 2008.We will run these races early in the program so a team can be back home that night!

We are trying to put the fun back in late model racing, so come on out and join us this season. There will be a few problems thru out the year, but we’ll take care of them. All racers just want to be treated fair, I think we will have some B-features along the way this year!

Thanks to Brad Janes from Turn or Burn Motorsports for keeping the webpage updated and Renegade Race Cars for paying for the webpage. When you see John, Scott, Dallas and Larry at the tracks be sure and tell them thanks!
